ACET Uganda works in response to specific needs in specific areas of Uganda .... Providing AIDS care, education, training and training material to schools and communities all across the country. ACET Uganda is building a sports centre at Mbale in partnership with TackleAfrica, a UK based charity. Together with the sports facilities there will be lifeskills devlopment sessions, counselling and, later on, the provision of voluntary testing services (VCTS). The Centre will use the appeal of sport, particularly foorball, to reach young people with vital information about HIV prevention.
David Kabiswa, Director of ACET Uganda, stated:
"This project is an excellent example of how business and community can come together and make a high impact and sustained difference to a vary large problem. We look forward to a long and productive relationship with TackleAfrica."

Latest News (Feb 2007):
The project has been delayed due to disputes over the land. ACET Uganda staff at Mbale are working with the local municipal council to find a solution.
