Please continue to remember our projects in areas of conflict and tension. Pray particularly for Paul Mershak and his team in Jos, Nigeria, Yvonne Kavuo and her staff in Goma, DR Congo and Godfrey Mhlanga and all those who work with him in and around Buluwayo in Zimbabwe. Please ask for safety and security for our staff and volunteers as they travel and minister in their local communities.
Please remember the ACET Slovakia team and particularly their Director Denisa Soltesova. They are now involved in a major European Union initiative, with four other European Christian organizations, to mobilize the young people of Europe to speak out on HIV and AIDS. Please pray for wisdom as they take on this huge new responsibility.
Please remember ACET Nireekshana India in Hyderabad as they cope with rapidly increasing numbers of referrals, particularly children. Pray that Sujai and Lavanya Suneetha will continue to be able to offer a safe, welcoming and prayerful centre of care and witness for all who come in need.
Thank you to those of you who prayed, following our last email update, for our Russian trainer pastor Evgenyi Levandovskyi with his wife Elena who were involved in a serious road accident. Elena is now out of hospital, although she still needs further treatment. They ask for prayers for the right ongoing medical care and for financial provision for the family as Elena will be unable to work for at least another two months. Please also pray for Marek Slansky, Director of ACET Russia. Marek is from the Czech Republic and has been working in Russia for 5 years, What he expected to be a routine application for an extension of his ‘work permit’ was refused and he is awaiting the result of his appeal in the next few weeks.
Thank you for praying.
