Prayer Bulletin April 2009

Please lift before God the ACET Thailand team in this time of political uncertainty in that country.  Please pray particularly for those living and working in the House of Grace orphanage and the teams doing HIV prevention work in local schools.  Remember Pastor Kitisak Limtanakulchai and Alan Ellard and ask for safety for them and their families.

Continue to remember the ACET Slovakia team. They have requested particular prayer for an event they are holding in the next few weeks, to train new volunteers interested in joining HIV prevention work in the towns of Kosice, Kralova Lehota, Vranov and Nove Zamky.  This comes at a time when the European Union project they are involved in is growing fast and please ask for wisdom for good use of their time as well as quality time with God in the midst of busy schedules.

(Please contact us if you would like to join a specific prayer network for Eastern Europe.)

With South African elections in the news, please pause to pray for Ray Sangqu and the rapidly growing programme of home based care and education offered by his team around East London through ACET Eastern Cape.  Pray for those house- bound by AIDS and ask for a fresh outpouring of compassion for those who volunteer to cook, clean and care for them through ACET.

Please remember the work of ACET Jersey amongst the immigrant workers in the hotel and tourist trade on the island.  Give thanks for the work of Marta Figueiredo and her Christian outreach to the large Portuguese community through training, befriending and access to information and resources.

Many of you have, we know, been continuing to pray for Marek Slansky and the work of ACET Russia.  Thank you!  Marek has been in contact to report many answers to prayer including the continuing recovery of Evgenyi Levandovskyi and his wife Elena following their serious car crash, transformed health for his own family, unexpected breakthroughs with government officials over his papers but still continuing opposition and challenges to the work they do.  As Marek says in his last email ‘God is in the business of crisis management!’

If you have messages of encouragement or assurances of prayer for any of these people or situations, please email them to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and we will pass them on.

Please contact us if you would like to recieve regular prayer bulletins by email from ACET.

Thank you for praying!
