ACET Jersey's 'Wise up' programme has so far offered training to 160 prison staff and is now offering weekly two-hour education and support sessions for inmates at risk of infection with HIV or other blood-borne viruses.

Many different ACET programmes around the world have worked with prison authorities, mainly in health promotion.

Prisoners and staff have been very positive about the programme and Wise Up has allowed ACET Jersey staff to reach people that other programmes struggle to make contact with..
