Vivian's story - how he and his wife are now able to care for their family |
|

My name is Vivian Dube and beside me is my wife. I am a village Co-ordinator for CCP(Community Care Programme).I live at Silozwe in Matopos, Zimbabwe. We both tested positively for HIV a year ago, after we lost our child. It was not easy at first, being unemployed, to get the money so that we can go and have our CD4 count at Hospital, which is 100km. Our health deteriorated and worse for me, I was on the verge of dying. However, we are so grateful to CCP for their help in transporting us to the hospital several times to get our CD4 count measured. We both commenced on ARVs and here we are, strong and able to work and feed our family. May the good Lord bless and protect the CCP Team as well as those supporting us through the Zimbabwe Hospital programme. Hundreds of people's lives have been saved who could have died long back. |
