New grant for Czech Republic reaches more people at risk

The grant from the European Union, of some 280,000 Euros, will secure a three year programme in the Czech Republic, reaching nearly 6,000 young people with an intensive programme of HIV prevention and sex education lessons, seminars and lectures.

The funding will enable ACET in the Czech Republic to further expand its life saving work, working intensively in a further 24 schools across 5 regions.  In addition to the intensive work in these schools, lectures for Facts for Life will be delivered to a further 25,000 students across the country.

ACET is grateful to the European Union for this support, the second such grant we have been successful in securing after funding won by ACET Slovakia.  However, there remain many thousands of young people in Eastern Europe who we cannot reach due to shortage of funds and if you would like to support this work, you can donate here.
