Paul Mershak, Director of ACET Nigeria said the scale of the unrest was unprecedented and the recent 24 hour curfew had pevented the teams from doing any outreach work. The most recent BBC reports suggest that the situation is easing but tension is likely to remain high for some time. Peter Fabian, Chief Executive of ACET, said. 'For me, this latest unrest just highlights the fact that our teams around the world are working on the front line, often in very difficult or dangerous circumstances, to tackle HIV and AIDS. I have assured Paul of the thoughts and prayers of all the ACET family' Many different ACET teams are living and working in parts of the world where there is significant risk of unrest or civil war.
